Jesus said, “And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” (Matthew 18:5-6)

Following our Lord Jesus’s strict command, St Barnabas Catholic Church, and our diocese, the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter, are committed to providing a safe environment for all our parishioners -- from the youngest to the oldest.

As a part of that effort, the Ordinariate has instituted a robust Safe Environment program that St Barnabas fully participates in. We provide mandatory training (including detailed background checks) through Catholic Mutual Group (CMG Connect) for all volunteers who may be in a position to work with children under 18 years old. We also educate parents and provide them materials to use in discussing safe environment issues with their own children.
